Common Data Sets
Basic information about Loyola University New Orleans is available in the Common Data Sets. The Common Data Set (CDS) is a collaborative effort between data providers within the higher education community and publishers of undergraduate admissions data such as US News, College Board, Peterson’s, ACT, etc. The goal of this initiative is to reduce the burden on colleges and universities who provide the data and to increase the uniformity, quality and accuracy of this data.

Assessment
The Association of American Colleges and Universities have recently released an invaluable resource for helping with academic assessment activities: VALUE rubrics. The VALUE rubrics were developed by teams of faculty experts representing colleges and universities across the United States through a process that examined many existing campus rubrics and related documents for each learning outcome and incorporated additional feedback from faculty.

Institutional research is research conducted within an institution of higher education to provide information that supports institutional planning, policy formation and decision making.
The Office of Institutional Research & Effectiveness (OIRE) collects, analyzes, and disseminates data about Loyola University New Orleans. In addition to ensuring that Loyola has uniform and consistent statistical information for official reporting, OIRE also provides planning and assessment support for the university’s decision-makers.
