Our Facilities
The University Honors Program aims at providing a challenging experience for Honors students beyond the classroom.
Honors Lounge
The University Honors Program is located on the first floor of the J. Edgar and Louise S. Monroe Library. In addition to the offices of the Director and Coordinator of Student Services, conveniently situated in close proximity to the students, the Honors Suite includes the lounge where our conference table is available for meetings, Quiz Bowl practice and homework; and the tower, designed for study and discussion. Both areas are available to (and widely used by) Honors students during all library hours.
Honors Learning Community
First year Honors students have the privilege of living in the Honors community, staffed by Resident Assistants who are both UHP members. Students benefit not only from interaction with fellow Honors students, who are in many of the same first year Honors seminars and other courses, but from co-curricular programming ranging from social activities such as laser tag to community engagement projects to presentations led by guest speakers. It is located in Buddig Hall.
