Bio
Dr. Sean Cain received his PhD from the University of California San Diego and has taught at George Washington University, the University of California Washington Center, the University of Maryland, and the American University School of Public Affairs.
Dr. Cain teaches courses on American government and politics, political development, elections, voting behavior, campaign finance, government budgeting, the legislative branch, news media, political parties, interest groups, and research design and quantitative methodology. His research focuses on American election campaigns, campaign finance policy, the professional campaigning industry, and legislative politics. His work has been published in the journals Political Behavior, Election Law Journal, The Forum: A Journal of Applied Research in Contemporary Politics, Presidential Studies Quarterly, Journal of Political Marketing, and the Asia Pacific Journal of Public Administration.
