Please note - the university buildings are closed at the present time.  However, Student Records is open with limited staff Monday-Friday 8:30 - 4:45.  If you need a transcript, please make your request through LORA, fax your request to the office (504-865-2110) or send an email with your request to Please be sure your signature is on any fax or email. We are not sending any transcripts at the current time through federal express.


If you would like to make arrangements to pick up a transcript, please call ahead of time and we will schedule an appointment for you to come by. You should enter the building through the glass doors on the Palm Court side of the building.  If there is no one at the door to let you in, please call our office - 504-865-3237 and we will meet you.  Please make sure there is no financial hold on your records prior to arriving.  The Student Financial Services Center is working remotely and there is no one in the building to assist.

Our transcripts are free of charge with standard mailing. If you request federal express mailing, the charge is $25.00 which must be paid prior to mailing of your records. Please contact our office and provide us with your credit card information. Our mailing address is 6363 St. Charles Avenue, Box 2, New Orleans, LA 70118.      

NOTE: If you currently have an outstanding balance, default on your student loan, or any transcript hold, your transcript will not be released.

You have several options for requesting your transcript:

Option 1: LORA account

Currently enrolled students may request their transcript through LORA via their Single Sign On account.

Former students may request transcripts through their LORA account by entering their social security number or CWID (campus-wide ID) and their self-assigned pin. These transcripts are produced each evening and mailed out the next business day. Students with a financial block will not be allowed to request their transcript through this venue without receiving clearance from the Student Finance Office: (504) 865-3337.

Option 2: Email, Mail or Fax

Email: You may send an email to requesting your transcript. However, we must have your signature on this email (not an electronic signature).

Please include the following:

  • Signature
  • Social security number (last 4 digits) or campus I.D. 
  • Beginning and ending dates of attendance
  • The name under which you were enrolled
  • Maiden name
  • The address where you want the transcript sent
  • Your current mailing address & phone number

You may come in-person to request your transcript to the second floor of Thomas Hall (room 204) on the Loyola University New Orleans Main Campus. If you would like to take the transcript with you, we will process your order while you wait. Photo identification is required at the time the request is made.

You may ask someone else to pick up your transcript. Please provide that person (including parents) with a letter with your signature. In this letter, please state the name of the person picking up your transcript. We will require photo identication of that person.

Option 3:  Credentials 

Loyola University New Orleans has retained Credentials, Inc. to accept transcript orders for official transcripts over the Internet via a secured website.  You may also call Credentials, Inc. at (847) 446-1027. TranscriptsPlus® will facilitate your request for a minimal for up to five addresses.

  • Allows you to place orders for academic transcripts without having to mail in a request
  • Helps you deliver the authorization required by the school
  • Supports payment by credit card
  • Provides e-mail or fax communication with you while your order is being processed
