Strength in Diversity Grants

To encourage and support programming on diversity issues, the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee awards Strength in Diversity mini-grants on a rolling basis throughout the academic year. Student organizations, faculty, and staff may apply.

All proposals must:

  • Address one or more of the following dimensions of diversity: age, class, culture, disability, ethnicity, gender identity, national origin, race, religion, and sexual orientation.
  • Promote the understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion on the academic experience and/or community life of Loyola University.

Additionally, proposals should:

  • Make a long-term impact on enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion at Loyola.
  • Reach a broad range or number of students, staff, or faculty.
  • Address a significant currently unmet need or concern related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The Committee is especially interested in proposals that address the 2019-20 theme of the Office of Diversity & Inclusion: "Empowering Each Other."
