Computer Labs

Information Technology provides campus computer labs for use by all of Loyola’s students. All of these facilities have Internet access and offer free printing. These labs listed below can be utilized for academic purposes as well as surfing the Internet and checking email.

Monroe Library Labs

Located in the Information Technology wing of the Monroe Library building, these labs offer access to 80 Windows based computers. Included are 2 Windows based labs and 1 Mac Lab. There are 3 high-speed laser printers. The centralized location and the hours of operation make these labs the most popular on campus.

Available Software:
Windows: Acrobat Reader,  MS Office Suite, MS Visual C#, SPSS, JMP, Mathematica, Gimp, Audacity, Matlab, Mendely, TexniCenter, Trelby, Google Chrome, Internet Explorere.

Mac: MS Office Suite, SPSS, JMP, Gimp, Safari and Google Chrome


Reference Area Lab 

Located in the Monroe Library 1st floor, this lab has 51 Windows based computers.  This lab is located in the center of the Library and free printing is available using one of the 3 high speed printers designated for tha area.

MS Office Suite, Mathematica, MS Visual C#, Mendely, Matlab, MS Visual Basic, SPSS, JMP, Trelby, TexniCenter, Gimp, Audacity, Lab View, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome 


iMAC Reference Lab

This lab is located on the first floor of the Monroe Library. It houses 18 Macintosh computers and is an excellent lab to work on music / multimedia projects. Midi keyboards are available for check out, for use in this lab, at the Library Circulation Desk.  Two printers are located near by and printing is free.

Math Lab

Located on the 4th floor of Monroe Hall room 413 this lab has 6 computers. In addition to Information Technology’s basic software it has specific software programs for Math and Science majors. The Math Department also runs a math tutoring service from within this lab.
