Short Bio

Dr. Mennino joined the First-Year Experience program in 2013. She is responsible for the administration of the First-Year Seminars, including annual planning and assessment, as well as coordinating the First-Year Experience (FYE) program, serving as a liaison between all divisions of the university involved in the FYE.

Dr. Mennino came to Loyola in 2003 as a member of the faculty of the Department of Sociology and served as Chair of the Department from 2009-2013. Her research and teaching interests center around the sociological study of gender with a focus on work-family connections. She also enjoys teaching courses related to Mardi Gras.
