Debbie Danna has been working in international education at Loyola University New Orleans for 30 years. She is the founding director of the Center for International Education which houses services for international students and scholars, study abroad, the Loyola Intensive English Program and other international activities. She developed the current study abroad program in collaboration with the colleges and study abroad faculty directors. Danna served as director of International Student Affairs from 1984 to 2003.
Prior to joining Loyola University New Orleans, Danna worked at the University of New Orleans, the University of Southwestern Louisiana and in the Law Office of David Ware. She has a J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans in Civil Law, M.A. in Speech Communication and B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin. She studied abroad in Peru.
She has held numerous leadership positions with NAFSA: Association of International Educators and is currently chair of the AJCU International Education Conference through 2015.
