Short Bio

As Senior Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness and Faculty Development, Dr. MacGregor will oversee assessment work university-wide and compliance with SACSCOC accreditation guidelines. In addition, she will build faculty development programs to ensure best pedagogical practices for student retention and the highest quality student experience.

A faculty member in the Sociology Department since 2012, Dr. MacGregor was trained as a social statistician at Princeton. Her research includes work on the organizational dynamics of K-12 Catholic schools. For the last three years she has served as Chair of the Standing Committee on the Loyola Core, overseeing curriculum approval and assessment, including compliance with SACSCOC guidelines for general education programs. An award winning teacher and advisor, she has served as a key team member of the retention workstream.  Dr. MacGregor is passionate about using state of the art tools and pedagogy to enhance teaching.
