He oversees the university's SACSCOC accreditation efforts and serves as Loyola’s accreditation liaison, and leads campus development activities for planning and assessment of outcomes-based programming. He is responsible for campus effectiveness planning and related assessment activities across the university, including the completion of yearly Annual Reports and reviews with Department Chairs, Deans, and Vice-Presidents. He oversees the generation and dissemination of data through both internal reporting venues and external agencies including IPEDS, and leads student success efforts, including the Academic Advising Council, the Student Success Committee, and the Assessment Support Team. He earned his Ph.D. in Curriculum Theory, a field that asks educators to rethink and reconceputalize the classroom experience. He was initially inspired by the work of Jean Baudrillard, and has since developed research interests in the fields of hyperreality and posthumanism and how those theories affect undergraduate education and the development of adolescents and young adults.

His first book, Parallels & Responses to Curricular Innovation: The Possibilities of Posthumanistic Education, was published in 2014. It appears in the Routledge series: International Studies in the Philosophy of Education.

He is an adjunct instructor in the Department of Psychological Sciences and in the Teacher Certification sequence, where he teaches First-Year Seminars and Common Curriculum courses, and is Director of Loyola’s summer abroad program in Paris, France.
